With a passion for restoring classic vehicles and hotrods, Ed founded Sunburn Auto Appraisals over 3 decades ago as a vintage vehicle appraisal company. Noting an unfulfilled need in the appraisal industry, Ed then became an advocate for those struggling to find fairness from their insurance companies after being involved in vehicle loss through damage or theft.  Ed has spent over 30 years determining vehicle values  and negotiating with insurance companies for fair settlements on behalf of consumers. Total Loss and Diminished Value Vehicle Appraisals, are the two fields in which Ed specializes.  Ed is an appraiser who has not only earned the trust of his clients and the courts but his appraisals are also recognized and respected by all insurance companies.  

At Sunburn Auto Appraisals, we strive to provide you with the most accurate value possible for your vehicle. Serving all of Alberta, our appraisal reports meet and exceed the industry standards in all areas and are accepted by banks, insurance companies, courts, charities, the CRA and more. 

We are independent appraisers and do not work for insurance companies. We specialize in  

"Total Loss" and "Diminished Value" appraisals, but also provide standard and specialty vehicle appraisals for the purpose of insurance, sale or finance. 

Our appraisers are mobile and come to you, whether it be at your residence or work, to fully document and photograph your vehicle before compiling our report based on this assessment.  We have extensive vehicle research libraries and databases dating back to the early 1900's and keep fully apprised of the industry's latest developments. 

Our computer-generated reports are emailed to our clients (optionally, to their insurance companies) within hours of completion. Additionally, the entire report is enclosed in a transparent cover and bound as a booklet for your records
